Take Hwy 30 (Honoapi’ilani Hwy) and keep going straight until you reach the main intersection for the Maui Ocean Center. Turn left at the lights and pull into the harbor.
From Lahaina
Head south on Hwy 30 (Honoapi’ilani Hwy), and as the road opens up after the tunnel, you will see a sign for Maalaea Harbor, followed by Buzz’s Wharf. Turn right at the Maalaea Harbor Sign. If you pass the Maui Ocean Center on your right then you’ve gone too far!

Head north on the Pi’ilani Hwy (Hwy 31), or S. Kihei Rd and follow the signs that take you to Hwy 31. Eventually, that road will end in a T-intersection. Molokini Crater is a world-class snorkeling destination protected from high winds due to its unique crescent shape. Located offshore and sheltered from the wind, Molokini creates a snorkeling experience second to none. Upon entering the water, you will be amazed at the crystal-clear visibility, often unlimited and nearly always at least 150 feet.
As one of only two partially submerged volcanic calderas in the world, Molokini is in a class of its own. There are more than 250 different species of marine animals and colorful coral species, many of which can only be viewed at Molokini.
Molokini’s concave shape protects swimmers from waves and currents. You will be fascinated by swimming inside a comfortable and safe tropical sanctuary. Molokini also yields ample opportunity to capture some great underwater photos.
Turtle Snorkeling
Turtle Town’s sea floor provides underwater lava formations and a beautiful coral reef. It is animated by many colorful fish, sea stars, and other aquatic beauties.
As you splash into an ocean of fun at Turtle Town, you may be greeted by one of Maui’s most gentle residents, the majestic Hawaiian green sea turtles. Turtle Town is a cleaning station where cleaner wrasse fish and turtles gather. The turtles benefit from the wrasses cleaning barnacles and other hitchhikers off them, while the cleaner wrasse gets a free meal. Turtle Town is known for its high population of Hawaiian green sea turtles. The area is protected from the trade winds, which gives way to easy and relaxing snorkeling.
Snorkeling at Turtle Town is perfect for all ages. Because of the calm and pristine waters, you will see a variety of colorful fish, coral, and other fascinating marine animals.

SNUBA diving requires no prior experience or unique talents at all. But, you must be at least eight years of age and in average health.
