Molokini Crater is a world-class snorkeling destination protected from high winds due to its unique crescent shape. Located offshore and sheltered from the wind, Molokini creates a snorkeling experience second to none. Upon entering the water, you will be amazed at the crystal-clear visibility, often unlimited and nearly always at least 150 feet.
As one of only two partially submerged volcanic calderas in the world, Molokini is in a class of its own. There are more than 250 different species of marine animals and colorful coral species, many of which can only be viewed at Molokini.

Turtle Snorkeling
Turtle Town’s sea floor provides underwater lava formations and a beautiful coral reef. It is animated by many colorful fish, sea stars, and other aquatic beauties.
As you splash into an ocean of fun at Turtle Town, you may be greeted by one of Maui’s most gentle residents, the majestic Hawaiian green sea turtles. Turtle Town is a cleaning station where cleaner wrasse fish and turtles gather. The turtles benefit from the wrasses cleaning barnacles and other hitchhikers off them, while the cleaner wrasse gets a free meal. Turtle Town is known for its high population of Hawaiian green sea turtles. The area is protected from the trade winds, which gives way to easy and relaxing snorkeling.
