What Is Cat Café Maui?
Cat Café Maui isn’t just a café; it’s a cause. It is home to rescue cats, adoptable through partnerships with Maui Cat Rescue and the Maui Humane Society, and each visit helps to support animal welfare. Since its opening in 2022, the café has helped more than 100 cats to find loving homes. Each guest’s entry fee covers one drink of their choice and 50 minutes of stress-relieving feline fun.
The café’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed. They were recently nominated for USA Today’s 10 Best Cat Cafes in North America, recognizing their unique blend of aloha spirit and animal welfare.
What to Expect During Your Visit
From the time you enter, you’ll be greeted by playful purrs, gentle head nudges, and the aroma of fresh Maui coffee. The space is beautifully designed and features cozy seating, cat toys galore, and a boutique where you can browse some locally designed cat-themed souvenirs.
Meet the Cats
Each cat has a unique story and personality. Some of them are shy, others are divas, and many are lap-loving cuddle bugs. Best of all, each and every one of them is available for adoption. If you fall in love (and you probably will), staff members will be ready to guide you through the adoption process.
Adopting from Cat Café Maui

- All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and socialized
- The knowledgeable staff will assist you with the applications
- You can apply on-site and potentially take home your new best friend the same day
