Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center

The Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center is off Baldwin Avenue near historic Makawao Town.

The property is unique and rich with the culture of Maui’s history. You’ll find a Maui wedding location with roots in Maui’s agriculture days and Old Hawaii. It has since been revived as a historic art estate, a place for classes, workshops, exhibitions, and a host of beautiful events.

In the 1850s, Hui’s property was originally a part of the East Maui Sugar Plantation. In 1885 it was purchased by Henry Perrine Baldwin, then obtained by his son Harry Baldwin. The main home, also known as the Kaluanui Estate, was built by renowned architect C.W. Dickey in 1917. The essence of an Italian villa inspired the design of the house with an apparent Mediterranean influence in the finishes. It’s perched upon a hill with a beautiful courtyard, expansive lawns, mature trees, and coastline views.

The Hui property undoubtedly provides an elegant location and a gorgeous backdrop for all indoor/outdoor events and celebrations. Here is a perfect Maui wedding venue for all to enjoy.

King Kamehameha Golf Club

The King Kamehameha Golf Club is perhaps one of the most incredible Hawaii wedding venues. The property has a rare architectural history, and you can sense a regal feeling permeating the property upon visiting. It also boasts gorgeous views of the Central Maui Valley, Mt. Haleakala, and the North and South Shore coastlines. Without a doubt, the wedding photography alone will be stunning here.

The Kamehameha Golf Club is impeccably maintained, includes indoor and outdoor venue spaces, offers on-site wedding coordinator services, and has a dedicated bridal room. For events, this Maui wedding venue can accommodate up to 360 guests.

Perched on the slopes of Mauna Kahalawai, the King Kamehameha Golf Club spans over 330 acres. Frank Lloyd Wright initially designed the very memorable pink “Clubhouse” (1949) to be a home for Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller. The Clubhouse is a perfect location for a Maui wedding reception with a beautiful stained glass dome, plentiful seating, a bar, tremendous views, and fantastic acoustics.

Although the Lloyd Wright design was not built when originally planned, the property and the plans were later purchased and put into action by Howard Hamamoto, Pundy Yokouchi, and Takeshi Sekiguchi. Upon visiting the club, originally known as the Waikapu Country Club, guests will see many exterior and interior details that Frank Lloyd Wright-designed: etchings on the glass and elevators, carpet light fixtures, stained glass, and more.

The King Kamehameha Golf Club is a fabulous Maui wedding venue!
